This link takes you to Metro Transit’s trip planner. Make sure to enter one of our SouthWest Stations in either the ‘from’ or ‘to’ fields to ensure the planner recommends one of SWT’s routes.

If you are traveling eastbound on a SW Bus Route, pay when you board the bus. If you are traveling westbound before 3:00 PM, pay when you board. After 3:00 PM, pay when you depart the bus.

No, drivers are unable to make change. Visit our Fares and Ways to Pay page for more information about how to pay for your ride.

Be sure to arrive at the station or bus stop 5 – 7 minutes early. The electronic sign on the front of the bus will show the route number and destination – read that to make sure you are boarding the correct bus.

About one block before your destination, pull the cord above the window or politely alert the driver.

You can use the Guaranteed Ride Home program offered by Metro Transit. Visit Guaranteed Ride Home to learn more about the program.

Buses are equipped with bike racks for 2 or 3 bikes. Ask your driver how to load your bike on the bus.

Yes, all of our buses are ADA accessible.

 You may have a beverage as long as it’s in a covered container. We do not allow food to be eaten while on our buses. 

Customer Service at SouthWest Station (Eden Prairie) is available 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday to assist you. You can also call 952-949-2287. 

All items found on buses or at any of our stations are held for 30 days. After that time, items are donated or discarded.

Only service or emotional support animals are allowed on our buses.

Yes. You can notify SWT of your ADA requirements when booking on the SW Prime app or when you call to reserve a ride.

When using the app for booking, you’ll be notified via text or push notification once your driver is assigned. If you make a reservation over the phone, a team member will inform you of your assigned driver.

Arrival times vary based on system demand. The app will show an estimated time of arrival based on real-time GPS and current trip load. If you make a reservation over the phone, a team member will provide an estimated arrival time.

Real-time GPS tracking is available in the SW Prime app.

No. SW Prime is intended for personal use only. However, you may book group rides for up to six people, including yourself.

Yes. Canceling and resubmitting a request means your new request will be placed a the end of the queue.

Yes, you can change your destination when you board. However, this request will be treated like a new ride request, and you will be charged a second fare for your new destination. Your new request will be sent to the end of the queue and other riders’ trips may be prioritized.

Yes. To sign up, visit SouthWest Station during staffed hours (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM, Monday – Friday). Bring a photo ID with your name and address. You will also need to provide an accepted document verifying you meet income guidelines.
